An OC Jam.I was inspired to do this from a game called Urban Rivals. [link]
Play it or not, the hook is that the more you fight with the Cards that you have, the more exp. they get; the more EXP they get, the stronger they become. The stronger they become, the more bitching awesome the card art looks.
I will look into getting a card template for the project, but IT IS COMPLETELEY OPTIONAL
(hot damn, been a while since I did THAT. XD.)

I have an old MTG card maker Lying around and made THIS because it was a pun I could not pass up.
So if low level characters get crappy art, do we start with stick figures and pixels to turn up CG epicness?

- It's more like Low-Level characters start at the bottom of the totem-pole; for instance... what did Toji look like when he began his career as a pirate... ?
- Template: Definiteley!
- Each team in the game has their own flavor in the game itself; Pirhanas = Pirates, Montana = Mob... Jungo = Furries/anthros, Roots= potheads and Alcholics... etc.
Feel free to make your own team, use one of theirs, or make yours unaffiliated. ^^
Curious to see what level 3 Sera or level 5 Natsumi or Toji would look like

Sera, likely since she is a crossover character, but more Miss Rogers that chibi pirate.
Natsume...maybe. She isn't a canon character, but she has potential in going from her youth to adult forms.
Kai...um I dunno. self-important douche online and off may make for an interesting character card
Toji, no. I have been requested not to overstep my bounds with Toji as of yet. ^_^
Looking to Pawma, Amyah Mae, Lucy, Ger and Kagale and maybe even my Guild Wars roster for inspiration on this one.

Not a serious card, but it does bear the question. Attack format like Urban Rivals, the one I did or this other one I did
I really an not to keen on the "pill" thing. Attack point modification is a little bit of an issue, but there is not interaction between cards so it seems a awkward necessity. Card abilities are simplistic and direct ("Paper beats Rock") leaving the game merely up to pill management and leveled cards.
I guess that's why I made a MtG card. It's easy to just get a Shivan Dragon out there, but if your opponent Clones it and has a Vesuvan Doppelganger copy that clone...well now your screwed and Rei wins again.

I could picture my lvl 3 Mort Bax (Think a cheap, Vegas Magician working for the mob. Now imagine he's got a beer belly, and somehow looks like... Elvis... Never mind...) Keeling over from an Overdose of pills.
My major qualm is that 1: it's easy to get too many doubles. I had an opponent once who had 2 sets of the EXACT SAME CARDS, High level, high damage.
and 2: not all my opponents speak english; and I'm too lazy to learn new and exciting obscenities in third world languages.
Gonna wait a bit before I link it in my next journal; see who all else I can get on the boat. In the meantime, See what Lil' Oba would look like with a little more developmenevelotionisms.

But hey, I've always liked makin my own OC cards for other card games... been doing it since trading the flare marvel cards was big... in like... 1990's ... ... <_< ... ... Jeezus...
But uh yeah. Is this gonna be a borrowed mechanics card game or are you still working on that?
I have played Urban Rivals... not much, but some. The pill management was interesting. But definetly not child friendly? Ya know?
Well, I guess keep me up to date and I'll try not to get my brain all mooshy and useless... 8/
